What's new from Sherline Industrial Products?

Included here are the latest product announcements and other information of interest. The purpose of this page is to provide a quick place for our regular customers to visit to see what has been added or changed since your last visit. You might want to bookmark this page, because this will be a rapidly growing and dynamic line of products. (Don't forget to hit the "refresh" button if you don't see anything new.)

STEPPER MOTOR MOUNTING KIT ADDED...This new product allows the DC motor to be replaced by a stepper motor driving the spindle. This would be used were exact rotational speed must be achieved when turning the spindle at low speed. See the page on P/N 6500. (11/23/05)
CNC SYSTEMS AND CONTROLS ADDED...On the CNC Slides page we have added a couple of options for controlling your slides or purchasing complete CNC systems. (2/10/04)
3D VIEWS ADDED...Some of the part drawings have been completed so you can view complete assemblies in 3D. Static black and white drawings are provide as well as color files that can be manipulated in 3D using a special free viewer called "Actify." These drawings can be scaled, rotated, sectioned and dimensioned using the viewer. If you haven't already done so, use the link on the single axis slide, P/N 6550 as an example to download the small program so you can view this sample file. (5/30/03)
HANDWHEELS, LEADSCREWS AND STEPPER MOTOR DRIVES ADDED...Need a simple handwheel and/or leadscrew to drive a small slide? Don't re-invent the wheel when Sherline now offers economical off-the-shelf choices. If you prefer to drive your slide with a stepper motor, some ready-to-install packages are also available with or without a programmable driver. (12/13/01)

CNC-READY LATHES AND MILLS ADDED TO MAIN MENU... Sherline makes a line of small lathes and mills that can be ordered "CNC-ready" with stepper motor mounts and couplings already installed. An overview of the models available is shown here, and a link is provided to Sherline's tool site for more details. (4/19/00)

ADOBE ACROBAT (.pdf) FILES ADDED... From the main menu you can download .pdf versions of our color show flyers and price list. These include the same information you will find in the site pages, but collect it all in one place for easier printing. (2/25/00)
